Committee Chair
Job Description
- Along with the CEO, provide leadership for the committee.
- Act as a liaison and advocate between staff and committee.
- Communicate issues of accountability from the committee’s perspective.
- Build trust within the committee, collaborations, and customers.
- Provide leadership for the recruitment, selection, retention, and retirement of committee members.
- Place committee members in positions to best utilize their talents.
- Hold team accountable for staying the course with the strategic plan
- Maintain close relationships with the staff to communicate needs, problems, and successes.
Basic Strategies to Develop
The committee chair working together with the CEO
- Develop a good relationship with the CEO and other committee members
- Plan effective meetings.
- Lead effective meetings.
- Delegate work to committee members.
- Hold committee members accountable.
At a minimum, the committee chair and area director should develop the following processes:
- Recruiting and selecting a committee chair(s), replacement when the term has expired at least 2.5 years
- Recruiting, selecting, retaining, and retiring committee members.

Finance Manager
Job Description
The finance manager will:
- Communicate with the CEO and Committee Chair to ensure all financial policies are followed.
- Communicate with sponsors and donors to notify them of impending financial needs of the area promptly.
- Communicate with the CEO and committee chair to develop the area’s annual budget.
- Monitor financial reports (Prepare and present financial statements at committee meetings.)
Basic Strategies to Develop
- Communicate with the committee to ensure monthly giving reports are accurate and timely to allow for timely communications with sponsors/donors.
- Keep the cash flow realistic with projects by communicating monthly with the CEO and committee chair.
- Anticipate and communicate expenses and income before they occur.
Qualifications
- Understands the needs for financial health
- Maintains confidentiality.
- Desires to work with numbers.
- Is organized.
- Is talented with finances, budgeting, and/or accounting.
- They are committed to the position for a minimum of one year.
Time Requirement: Eight hours per month

Community Liaison Coordinator
Job Description
The coordinator develops a network of community partnerships that will help advance the mission of the Hot Mama Spot.
Basic Strategies to Develop
- Find out what community partnerships are represented among the committee and collaborators.
- Recruit community partnerships that align with the vision of the Hot Mama Spot
- Formulate a plan to connect with community partners to establish relationships
- Connect Community partners with Committee to meet quarterly to present value of the Hot Mama Spot in the community
- Record what progress we make with each community partnership annually
- Familiarize themselves with each community and their role in the community
Qualifications
- Can organize.
- Communicates well with a group of people.
- Is actively involved in at least three community organizations that align with the vision and mission of The Hot Mama Spot.

Operations Chair
Job Description
The Operations chair will help set policies and procedures for accomplishing the strategic plan’s goals and keep the committee on the course to complete the goals set by the committee. The chair will establish systems to help the progress of achieving the committee’s purposes.
Basic Strategies to Develop
The Operations Chair will lead the implementation of the systems established by the committee. The Operations chair will have the support of the CEO and board of directors to ensure the systems in place will support the elevation of THe Hot Mama Spot and allow for growth for the team, collaborators, and clients.
